Over the last 4 years, the BLING project has aimed to accelerate and de-risk the deployment of blockchain-enabled services in government in Europe. SEStran has benefited hugely from participating in the project with all our partners.
As the project comes to a close we have summarised the work in our Blockchain Book bringing together 24 pilots, proof of concepts, and use cases that show how blockchain-enabled solutions will change how local and regional governments deliver local services and how they work with citizens.
From the largest government blockchain service in the Netherlands to new ways to help people in financial difficulties, this book provides a range of examples of new ways to design and deliver services for communities and citizens that cross many service areas, including health, energy, and transportation. Throughout the project the partners have delivered real services in real-life governmental settings: they have also delivered many new pilots, proof of concepts, and use cases that exemplify how this innovative technology can be used in many different ways and in many different domains. Whether you are a seasoned government professional or new to the field, this book is an excellent opportunity to learn what blockchain can do for your organization and how to tackle the challenges that lie ahead.
