NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with the provisions of sections 101 and 195 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 and Regulations 9 (1) to (3) of the Local Authority Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2014 that:

  • The Abstract of the accounts of the South East of Scotland Transport Partnership (SEStran) for the financial year to 31 March 2022, to be audited as required in terms of the foregoing regulations and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating thereto, will be available for public inspection by any interested person during the following hours (Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm and Friday, 9am to 3.30pm) over the period from Friday 1 July 2022 to Thursday 21 July 2022, both dates inclusive.

As a result of the coronavirus pandemic and in accordance with powers contained within the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020, a modified process will continue to be in place for the 2021/22 inspection.  The unaudited accounts of the South East of Scotland Transport Partnership, or hyperlinks thereto, will be published on the website of South East of Scotland Transport Partnership at by 1 July 2022.

Any requests for inspection must thereafter be sent for the attention of the Treasurer at whereupon the request(s) will be considered and, wherever possible, the requested information provided electronically.  Where this is not possible, the Partnership will make arrangements to provide access.

  • Any person interested may inspect the abstract of accounts to be audited and the supporting information outlined at (a) above free of charge.
  • Any person interested may object to the accounts or to any part of the accounts. Any objection must be sent in writing, stating the grounds for the objection to Karen Jones, Director of Audit and Assurance, Azets Audit Services, Exchange Place 3, Semple Street, Edinburgh, EH3 8BL, not later than Friday 22 July 2022, sending a copy of that objection and statement, in electronic format, to Hugh Dunn, Treasurer, SEStran, c/o The City of Edinburgh Council,
  • Any person objecting to the accounts may ask to appear in person before the auditor or appoint a representative to put the case in relation to their objections. Such requests should be made in writing, using the relevant contact details above.
