Are you passionate about shaping the future of transport in the South East of Scotland? We are looking for an experienced and motivated leader to join our dynamic team as Senior Partnership Manager. This is your chance to play a key role in delivering a sustainable, inclusive, and forward-thinking transport system for over 1.5 million people across our region.
 
Location: Hybrid, with 2 days a week at Victoria Quay, Edinburgh, Leith, EH6 6QQ

Salary: £67,921 – £76,416 per year

Contract type: Permanent

Position: Full time

Hours: 37 per week

The role

As Senior Partnership Manager, you will:

  • Provide strategic and technical leadership in developing, planning, budgeting, monitoring, and implementing the Regional Transport Strategy
  • Work closely with partner councils, planning authorities, City Deals, transport agencies, and other key stakeholders
  • Ensure the Regional Transport Strategy vision is realised: a fully integrated transport system that is efficient, safe, inclusive, and contributes to net zero emissions targets
  • Report directly to the Partnership Director and play a leading role in partnership management and delivery
  • Provide effective line management and support for staff, including performance development, mentoring and fostering a positive team culture

 

What we’re looking for

We are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate:

  • Degree-level education and relevant professional qualification
  • Proven senior management experience in a local government environment
  • Thorough understanding of transport planning, policy and local government procurement
  • In-depth knowledge of the work of Regional Transport Partnerships
  • Strong track record of successful partnership working and stakeholder engagement
